/ Proposal Manager Summary Our
experience represents a variety of industries including
aerospace; construction; defense; disability advocacy;
government relations; individual, family, & community
services; information technology; legislative; manufacturing;
public relations & marketing; and telecommunications. We
have provided services for all sizes of companies including
8(a) certified Small Businesses, minority-owned,
Service-Disabled Veterans, large corporations both privately
and publically owned.
Karen
Mersman is the Principal Owner and LLC Manager. She also
serves as the senior Proposal Manager and Quality Control
Officer. Proposal Management Group was founded in 2006.
Karen
is motivated,
self-directed, and highly organized in her approaches to
technical writing and proposal management. She has experience
in writing and editing technical documents, technical
proposals, and training handbooks. Leadership in the planning
and development of responsive documentation, dissemination
and integration of engineering
data and diagrams, proposal text, past performance text, requirements
analysis, tasking contributors and coordinating
authors, melds multiple contributions into one cohesive style,
and strong organizational skills in gathering information from
multiple resources. Some of the
specific agencies we have bid include Department of the
Air Force, Departments of the Army, Department of the Navy,
Department of Homeland Security, Department of Transportation
including Federal Aviation Administration, NASA, Department of
Energy, Department of Health and Human Services, Reserves and
National Guard, Defense Intelligence Agency, and Defense
Information Systems Agency; publically and privately owned
airports and related, marketing and public relations,
information technology, managed services, and
universities. Ms.
Mersman has worked for companies on a consultant basis and
full time positions providing proposal management and writing
services for a large commercial enterprise, small business and
large business federal and state contractors, non-profit
organizations, and social services. Her experience in social
services and advocacy instilled in her a foundation of
fighting for the underdog, a sense of fairness, the value of
time and money. Managers
and writers utilize proposal tools, industry best
practices, and standard procedures and processes. Management
services can also include oversight of the production
of proposals and materials. Each
of our consultants has a unique skill set and extensive
experience in federal and commercial bids and proposals,
non-profit grant applications, faith-bases grants, as well as
technical writing such as white papers, position papers,
business plans, employee manuals, and Requests For
Proposals.
PMG
was developed in order to provide proposal management and
proposal writing services to companies who do not have a
dedicated proposal staff or needs an outlet for proposal
overflow. Ms. Mersman believes strongly that proposals are the
backbone of the company and business development activities.
Because of that emphasis on importance, proposals require a
dedicated staff whose only objective is to produce dynamic and
responsive proposals that win business.
Ms. Mersman and the consultants are available for long term and
short term assignments. With a reach back of experienced
contract writers, proposal managers, and Subject Matter
Experts, we offer a broad base of experience to our small
and large customers in several arenas. Proposal and technical
